Job completed for April M.

Completion date: October 11, 2017

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Why did the customer contact us?

Maintenance client called about a system not maintaining cooling during a recent fall heatwave.

Solutions provided:

We arrived and found the system as described, working but not maintaining desired indoor temperature. Based on the client's description, we suspected the failing condensate pump we had put on our "watch list" from our recent maintenance visit. We replaced the pump, cleared the stopped up drain line, tested the new pump and returned the unit to service.

We intensely dislike these types of calls. Not because anyone has made a mistake or there is anything we can do to stop wear and tear on mechanical items. These types of calls highlight the limitations of any industry that works with mechanical equipment - we can tell a piece of equipment is failing but we cannot predict when it will actually fail. And in this case, it was about a week after our scheduled fall maintenance.
