Making a Wise Investment

Many homeowners would not consider their home heating and air conditioning system an INVESTMENT!  Understandable. Heating and cooling is simply keeping warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot. Investment is stocks, bonds, real estate, etc., not HVAC.

Your heating / cooling system is an investment! In most homes the heating and air conditioning system is the single most expensive infrastructure. More importantly, a well designed, properly installed heating / cooling system provides (or does not) TOTAL HOME COMFORT! Heating, cooling, humidification, air quality, air cleaning and de-humidification are essential, daily benefits of your wise choice.

Your heating and air conditioning system is an investment in family home comfort and a healthy home environment. You realize immediate return on this investment – through comfort, efficiency and reliability and can expect a continuing ROI for 10, 15, even 20 years!

Choose a Professional Contractor

As with any investment, you should do your homework. Choose your professional contractor CAREFULLY. Your contractor will be in your home before you make a final decision; in your home during installation and in your home to provide the warranty – not the equipment manufacturer! She is the one who will be doing the work. He will recommend what is the “best fit” for your home. She will have available a wide range of options for the size, efficiency and reliability that best apply to your home. Build a long term relationship with your contractor, as an important part of your long-term investment.

Choose Reliable Equipment

Of course your heating and cooling equipment choice is important. A reputation for efficiency, reliability and service-ability are the basis for selection. Let your contractor help with the selection of the correct equipment for your home.

Don’t Forget the Ductwork

Last but not least important is your home’s ductwork system. The absolute best, most efficient, highest cost or most well recognized brand will not compensate or correct a poorly designed or installed ductwork system. Even the best equipment will not operate as efficiently or last as long if the ductwork system is poor. Again, seek the advice of your HVAC contractor to determine the design and/or improvement of your ductwork.

HVAC – a wise investment.
