Why It’s Important to Check Your Air Filter

This truly is one of the easiest and most important maintenance tasks for a homeowner to perform. Because we typically think of air filters because of what they remove, we don’t think much about what passes through. An HVAC system is essentially a circle – the cooled or heated air coming out of the register must be equal to the air returning through the filter. If a filter becomes clogged this circle is broken leading to less comfort, less performance and, because of a likely service call, less money.
